About Us

Located in the heart of Boston’s world-renowned medical district, the Chai Center has become a lifeline for Jewish families from around the world whose loved ones are receiving treatment here.

When a medical crisis brings families to Boston, their focus should be on healing—not housing, meals, or logistics. That’s where Chai Hospitality steps in. We provide practical assistance and emotional support so families can be fully present for their loved ones.

Founded in 2009, Chai Hospitality offers a warm, welcoming, non-denominational environment just minutes from major hospitals. Here, guests find comfort, care, kosher food, Sabbath meals, and access to prayer services—all in a setting that feels like home.

With compassion and community at our core, we’re here to ease the journey.

Volunteer With Us

Chai Hospitality thrives thanks to the generosity of our volunteer network, powered in part by  YJP Boston (Young Jewish Professionals). These compassionate individuals—many in the healthcare field—offer time, support, and guidance to families in crisis.

Volunteering with us means making a tangible difference. Whether you're delivering meals, coordinating logistics, or offering a listening ear, your presence matters. And for our volunteers, the experience is equally meaningful—an opportunity to give back, grow spiritually, and connect deeply.

From the Community

The kindness and support we received from the Schwartz family was immense. The security of having kosher meals provided and a warm couple to consult with allowed us to fully focus on our son's health while adjusting to temporarily living in Boston.
Our needs were their priority.

We will always remember their kindness and generosity.

We were blessed to experience the Chai Center during our stay in Boston. Being in a foreign country, transferring our child from one hospital to another, your center was an Ir Miklat, a place of refuge, glowing with the light of Chassidus.

We are especially grateful for your help with Chesed Shel Emet [honoring the deceased] when we called upon you in the middle of the night. In the depth of darkness, G-d lit a spark of light and sent you to us.

Throughout our terrible ordeal, you were a saving angel for us. May Hashem repay you for your deeds.

With gratitude,
