In the English-speaking world the term house party refers, typically, to a type of party where medium to large groups of people gather at a house or apartment of the party's host. The people present at any one party may contain adults of varying ages, depending on the groups of people concerned. House Parties often nearly always feature food (e.g. buffet) and drink (often alcohol), sometimes music, dancing, as well as general conversation or social interaction.
