Any school is only as good as its teachers. We pride ourselves in carefully selecting teachers who are as excited about teaching as our children are about learning. Our staff is known for their broad knowledge of Judaism, dedication to children, and experience in teaching.
Throughout the year we will also be hiring specialists to come in to further enhance our programs.

Shifra received her Eary Childhood Education Degree from The Division of Higher Learning of Associated Beth Rivkah Schools in New York. She has also been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Shifra began her career in education at BY Lines Special Ed in Williamsburg where she volunteered for 2 years working with children with special needs. She taught Art in Oholei Torah Educational Institue in Brooklyn to preschoolers. During this time she also worked with children in camps in California, Florida and Canada. She began teaching Pre-K at New England Hebrew Academy of Brookline in 2003 and for the last three years before opening the Hebrew School was the Youth Director at The Chai Center running all their programs. This is Shifra's third year on staff at the Hebrew School of the Arts.

Yochi, born and raised in S. Barbara, California, has years of experience with educating children. She has taught in, and directed Hebrew Schools in California, New York, Connecticut and Argentina, as well as running a number of camps. She has also written several curriculums that are being used at Hebrew Schools across the country. Yochi received her "Morah L'golah" teaching degree after spending a year student-teaching in Israel. She lives in Brookline with her husband, who serves as the Youth Director of the Chai Center, and two children, and brings her love of teaching, love Judaism and love of children to Hebrew School of the Arts.
